LAMARTHE was founded in Paris in 1930 by Alfred Lamarthe. A daring designer, he was the first leather goods maker to use zippers on leather bags. A true visionary, he captivated women with his avant-garde creativity.
In search of an icon, the brand turned to the unicorn, a symbol of femininity and grace. It then became its visual identity.
